Cafe IFAL with Julia Slay

The NHS in England and other health services globally have long been associated with using action learning amongst practitioners, researchers and leaders.

Following our recent event, Action learning and the integration of health and social care systems by John Edmonstone, Julia will lead a Café IFAL session considering current challenges for practitioners.

Julia Slay is a freelance facilitator, who works across health and community spaces. She has experience working as an action learning set facilitator in the NHS, and as a coach and provider of group reflective learning spaces both inside and outside of health - most recently within mental health services. Prior to going freelance, she worked at the GLA as the Assistant Director of Communities and Social Policy, and for the New Economics Foundation.

Café IFAL is a virtual discussion forum where Action Learning practitioners can share their experiences of using Action Learning in real situations. Whether you wish to present a piece of work you’ve delivered - the struggles and successes - or simply contribute to the debate, join us at Café IFAL.

The format of this virtual event includes a brief presentation of a particular piece of Action Learning practice, followed by open discussion where we share related experience and create opportunities to learn with and from each other.

Sessions last 90 minutes and take place on the Zoom platform.

Numbers are limited to 20 people.

Costs are free for members and £15 for non-members. All fees go towards hosting further events.
